Table plans your household's dinners for the week around who is home each night, and builds the grocery order for it. It keeps your pantry and the staples you buy regularly, and it reminds you when a dinner needs preparing the day before. It is operated by Memriq Holdings, Inc. ("Memriq", "we"), which is the controller of the personal information described here. Table never places a grocery order and never pays for anything.
What Table collects
- Your account: your name, your email address and your password. One Memriq account signs you in to every Memriq service. Getting into Table is decided separately, by invitation.
- Your household: the first name of everyone at your table, the nights you are usually home for dinner, your time zone, the order you walk the store in and what you call each section, and how you get your groceries.
- Your weeks: for each week, who is eating on each night and why a night is skipped (away, eating out or busy). Also the dinners you took, with each dish's description, cooking time, ingredients and any preparation it needs.
- Your grocery orders: each item and quantity, the section it belongs to, whether it spoils quickly, and the items deliberately left out, with the reason.
- Your pantry and staples: what you told Table you already have, and the things you buy on a cycle, with when they were last added.
- Follow-ups: what Table will remind you about later and why, and whether you skipped it.
- Your settings: how far Table may act on its own, and what Table showed you each level allows.
- Support and feedback: what you write in Table's support chat, and the reports you send with the feedback button. A report includes a recording of the page you were on when you sent it.
Table keeps no record of what anyone in your household can or cannot eat. When you ask for a plan, Table asks for those limits for that one plan and does not store them. It keeps only the plan it made.
Table does not buy information about you and does not add to your record from anywhere else.
How it is used
- To suggest dinners for the nights someone is home, scaled to how many are eating, one dinner at a time. Nothing goes on your plan until you take it, unless your setting lets Table save a plan you asked for.
- To build the grocery order for the dinners you took, grouped by store section. It leaves out what your pantry already holds and adds the staples that are due.
- To suggest kinds of places to eat, and what to check before you go, for a night you marked as eating out.
- To read what you type into "Tell Table what you have" into pantry items. They are saved only when you say so.
- To remind you later: preparation the day before a dinner that needs it, using up food that will spoil before you go away, a pantry check when you are back, and staples on their usual cycle. These reminders arrive as to-dos in Helm on your own Memriq account.
- To email your grocery order to you when you press "Send it to me". It goes only to your own account's email address.
- To answer your support questions and act on the problems you report.
We do not sell or share your personal information, and have not in the past twelve months.
Who can read it
Everything Table stores about your household (names, nights and the reasons for them, dinners, ingredients, grocery items and quantities, pantry, staples and follow-ups) is sealed with a key belonging to your household before it is stored. Your account is stored only under a code that does not say who you are. What is not sealed is record identifiers, dates, counts, the store section an item belongs to (one of eight fixed sections), whether an item spoils quickly, a record's state and the times it was written. None of those says who you are or what your household eats.
What leaves Table, and when
- When Table plans a week, it can ask other Memriq services on your account what your week looks like, who is home for which dinners, and what your household cannot eat. The request names nobody. Memriq keeps a record of it with people's names replaced.
- When you press "Send it to me", the order is emailed to you through Memriq's one email sender.
- When you copy or share your order, you choose where it goes.
Services that process it for us
- Railway runs Table's servers.
- MongoDB Atlas stores Table's records, sealed as described above, in the United States.
- OpenAI is the language model Table uses to suggest dinners and replacements, read what is in your pantry from your words, suggest staples, and suggest kinds of places for a night you are eating out.
- Resend delivers the emails described above, through Memriq's one sender.
- Stripe would handle payment for a paid Table plan, through Memriq's billing service, if you ever chose one. Table itself never sees card details.
How long it is kept
Your account and Table data are deleted within 30 days of your account closing. Support messages are kept for 2 years, server logs for 90 days, and billing records, if you ever have any, for 7 years. Backups can hold deleted data for up to 35 days before it is gone from them too.
Deleting it, or getting a copy
In Table's Settings, "Delete my household" deletes your household and everything Table keeps for it at once. That includes the key that unlocks it, so any copy left behind cannot be read. If a reminder Table set cannot be removed from Memriq's scheduler, the screen tells you, and it may still arrive as a to-do in Helm for you to delete there. You can also write to privacy@memriq.ai. We acknowledge within 5 business days and finish within 30 days. The same address gives you a copy of what we hold, or corrects it.
If you are in the EU or UK
We rely on the contract with you to run Table, on our legitimate interests to keep it working and secure, and on your consent for anything else. Your information is processed in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
